OREANDA-NEWS. December 05, 2008. The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine is ready to take measures in terms of confirming of principles of fair competition on the market of banking services in case the National Bank of Ukraine motivates the necessity of such actions. A respective address was sent by acting Head of the Committee Olexandr Melnychenko to the head of the National Bank of Ukraine Volodymyr Stelmakh.

The reason for such address has become the proclaimed on November 27 of 2008 statement of Deputy Head of the NBU Olexandr Savchenko on intention to address the Committee to regulate the situation on the currency market.

With view to the situation on the market of banking services and the possible necessity to attract the Antimonopoly Committee, the Committee came a decision to operatively address the NBU in this issue.

Besides, Olexandr Melnychenko held a telephone talk with Volodymyr Stelmakh and personally informed the Committee’s stance to the NBU Head.
