OREANDA-NEWS. December 5, 2008. Today, the head of the Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Nuclear Supervision Nikolay Kutyin visited the construction site of Novovoronezh Nuclear Power Plant-2 (two WWER reactors). This project is part of the federal target program for the development of the nuclear industry of Russia in 2007–2010 and –2015. Rostekhnadzor has licensed this project and is supervising the construction.

Each week Kutyin is planning to visit one of the construction sites and to meet with Rostekhnadzor inspectors, sub-contractors, constructors and managers of the plants.

On Nov 27 Kutyin visited Leningrad NPP-2, on Nov 20 – Kalinin NPP.
