OREANDA-NEWS. December 04, 2008. According to the Ministry of Economy of Belarus, the Belarusian export to Moldova grew by 84.1% - up to US 196.3 million, and deliveries of Moldovan products to Belarus- by 22.5% - up to US 71.7 million.

For the first 9 months of 2008, the negative trade balance between Moldova and Belarus made US 124.6 million. As compared to the same period of the last year, it grew by US 76.5 million. Increase in Moldovan export to Belarus was due to the growth of export of wines, spirits, gypsum, anhydrite, plasters, medicines, fresh tomatoes and glassware.

The increase of Belarusian export to Moldova is stipulated by the growth in supplies of mineral oil products, liquid gas, tractors, tires, polymers of ethylene, plywood, lime and other products.
