OREANDA-NEWS. December 4, 2008. TMK (LSE: TMKS), one of the world’s leading producers of steel pipes for the energy sector, announces today that it began shipments of large-diameter welded pipe and seamless line pipe to Turkmenneft.

TMK will supply Turkmenistan's national oil company with 720mm OD large-diameter pipe of 09 GSF steel grades and 14mm wall thickness as well as 426mm OD seamless oil line pipe of hydro-sulphuric acid resistant steel grades.  These pipes are produced at TMK’s Volzhsky Pipe Plant and designed for application in sour service pipelines.

A total of 3,000 tonnes of tubular goods are expected to be shipped in December. Turkmenneft will use the pipes for maintenance purposes.
