OREANDA-NEWS  On 04 December was announced, that in violation of the legally established deadlines for the payment of insurance indemnities, Megaruss-D repeatedly delayed the settlement of the claims of IJSC Ingosstrakh on the basis of subrogation. The debt of SK Megaruss-D in the settlement of 267 claims made between 01.02.2007 and 21.10.2008, exceeds RUR13bn and has yet not been repaid.

The letter addressed to the General Director of ZAO SK Megaruss-D on 16.07.2008 was ignored. Due to the company’s default on its commitments, IJSC Ingosstrakh has addressed the Russian Union of Car Insurers with a petition to take action against the defaulter and intends to sue Megaruss D through an arbitration court for debt recovery. Ingosstrakh intends to lodge the total of 296 claims against Megaruss D.
