OREANDA-NEWS. December 03, 2008. The Minister of Labour and Social Policy of Ukraine Liudmyla Denysova negatively evaluates a legislative initiative of a number of people’s deputies in terms of introducing a differentiated taxation for physical persons. She announced at the press conference today.

“I stand against taxation,” she said and explained that on conditions of the economic crunch, on the contrary, social support of citizens proves crucial in order to improve internal demand.

“Facing the crisis any additional burden on the fund of payment of labour and employers will only entail shadowing of wages payments. I can set such examples now when the salary is paid in envelopes,” the Minister urged.

She views such steps will neither lead to increase of people’s incomes nor to filling up the budget revenues.
