OREANDA-NEWS  On 03 December UC RUSAL, which owns a 25% plus two shares stake in Norilsk Nickel, announced its list of candidates for the Norilsk Nickel Board of Directors.  The list includes candidates from UC RUSAL as well as candidates nominated as a result of consultations with other Norilsk Nickel shareholders.

UC RUSAL is nominating the following candidates to be independent directors:

• Alexander Voloshin – member of the Board of Directors, MRSK Holding; member of the Board of Directors, RAO Energy Systems East (nominated by VEB)

• Sergey Chemezov – CEO, State Corporation Russian Technologies; chairman, Russian Engineering Union (nominated by VEB)

• James Goodwin – founder and managing member, Half Moon LLC, an investment management company

• Tye Burt – president and CEO, Kinross Gold Corporation; director, NRX Global Corporation; member of the Board of Governors, the University of Guelph

• Luca Cordero di Montezemolo – chairman, FIAT; chairman, Ferrari; president of the Guido Carli Free International University for Social Studies (LUISS)

UC RUSAL is nominating the following representatives to serve on the new Board of Directors of Norilsk Nickel:

• Alexander Bulygin – CEO and chairman of the Executive Committee, UC RUSAL

• Valery Matvienko – Deputy CEO, UC RUSAL
