Air Astana Company Carried out 297 Passengers from Thailand
OREANDA-NEWS On 02 December was announced, that on the 28th and 30th of November Air Astana airline carried out flights from Almaty airport to Utapao (Pattaya) and back due to the closure of the International Airport of Bangkok.
On the 28th of November at 8.50 a.m. Air Astana airline’s aircraft Boeing 767 took off from Almaty airport to Utapao (Pattaya). The scheduled departure for 7.50 p.m. from Utapao to Almaty was delayed due to small size of Utapao military airport and unavailability to provide services to a large number of flights, that’s why the airliner took off only at 00.00. On the 29th of November at 6.00 a.m. Almaty time the airplane arrived in the southern capital’s international airport with 160 passengers on board.Because of the remaining dangerous situation in the Suvarnabhumi airport on the 30th of November, the aircraft Boeing 757 flew to the Utapao airport at 10.00 a.m. At 00.00 airliner took off from Utapao and at 6.00 a.m. of the next day landed at the airport in Almaty. The board of this flight had 137 passengers.
Also, despite the recommendation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Air Astana JSC, 75 and 47 passengers on the flights of the 28th and 30th of November respectfully have flown to Pattaya from Almaty. More than 200 passengers changed the date of departure, changed the route or returned tickets.
Especially for the transport of Kazakhstani tourists from Utapao, the Embassy of Kazakhstan in the Kingdom of Thailand and the Air Astana airline organized several buses which were waiting for the passengers near the Holiday Inn hotel.
