Yandex.Maps API for Bitrix Users
OREANDA-NEWS. December 1, 2008. The 1C-Bitrix company implemented a Yandex.Maps API-based component in their program products. Now the users of 1C-Bitrix Site Manager can embed Yandex.Maps on their websites through the Bitrix interface.
Users can place Yandex.Maps on the 1C-Bitrix managed websites without having to edit the page code manually. The 1C-Bitrix interface allows to drag the Yandex.Map component anywhere on any page, then choose the desired design settings and the map will appear on the page. The Yandex.Map component is available to any 1C-Bitrix user (the current 1C-Bitrix users will get the Yandex.Maps component after the next Site Manager update).
"Yandex.Maps API is a finished solution designed for our users to make their own geoinformation services," says Leonid Shnyr, Marketing Manager at Yandex. "We are positive that developers using the 1C-Bitrix Site Manager will find this solution handy."
In the near future, Yandex and the 1C-Bitrix company are planning on holding a series of joint seminars about the 1C-Bitrix program products and the Yandex.Maps API. You can ask questions about using Yandex.Maps, also in the framework of the 1C-Bitrix system, at the Yandex.Maps API developers club at http://api.yandex.ru/maps/club/.
Yandex.Maps API is a toolkit, which helps developers to embed on websites maps provided by Yandex. Yandex.Maps API allows web users to meet a variety of challenges from creating an office location map to generating a full-scale geoinformation service, like a searchable map of retail outlets). Yandex.Maps API was launched in mid November 2008.
