OREANDA-NEWS  On 01 December OJSC “MegaFon”, the first pan-Russian mobile operator, informs on appointments in its staff. Oleg Nikolaenko was appointed to a new position of the Technology Director of MegaFon.

In 1990, Oleg Nikolaenko graduated from the Leningrad Higher Military Engineering School of Communications named by Lensoviet with his major in Telecommunications.

In 1985-2001, he served in the Armed Forces of the USSR; in 2001, he joined MegaFon at the position of network implementation engineer of Sonic Duo.

In 2002, while being the senior engineer of the Network Development Sector in the Technology function of the Moscow subsidiary, he was transferred to MegaFon’s Headquarters where he was appointed the specialist of Technical Audit in the Technology Development and Control Department.

Later on Oleg Veniaminovich was promoted from the Head of Technical Standardization to the Head of Numbering and Interconnection Department in the Technology Function. In November 2008, he became the Technology Director of MegaFon.

At his new position Mr. Nikolaenko will be in charge of the development of the all-Russian MegaFon’s network, construction of new generation networks, etc.
