Ingosstrakh (Vladivostok) Boosts Written Premium for 9 Months by 16%
OREANDA-NEWS On 28 November was announced, that according to preliminary statements, the aggregate written premium for 9 months 2008 on direct insurance contracts entered by the branch of Ingosstrakh in Vladivostok amounts to RUR 119 mln, which is 16% higher than the premium collected over the same period of Year 2007.
The size of written premium in voluntary insurance other than life insurance was reported to amount RUR 113 mln (+58%), including RUR 3 mln (+28%) in private insurance, RUR 69 mln (+26%) in property insurance and RUR 41 mln in liability insurance. The size of written premium in compulsory motor third party liability insurance was RUR 6 mln (+11%).
The payments made by IJSC Ingosstrakh in Vladivostok under direct insurance contracts in January-September 2008 amounted to RUR 25 mln, including RUR 1 mln in voluntary private insurance, RUR 3 mln in property insurance and RUR 19 mln in voluntary liability insurance. Compulsory motor third party liability insurance payments made amounted to RUR 2 mln.
The most dynamic areas of business for the Branch of IJSC Ingosstrakh in Vladivostok during the first nine months of the year were voluntary motor vehicle insurance and insurance of liability and property of legal entities.
The size of premium under voluntary motor vehicle insurance amounted to RUR 12 mln, demonstrating an increase of 203% over the same period of Year 2007 achieved due to the insurer’s premiership relations with banks, car dealers and its effort in implementing new insurance products in the market. The size of premium on property insurance and liability insurance of legal entities amounted to RUR 12 mln, or 161% higher than in 2007 due to a higher share of agricultural insurance.
