OREANDA-NEWS. November 26, 2008. The enterprises of Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical industry produced goods worth UZS 46.1 billion in the first nine months of 2008, which is 3.7% more than in the same period of last year, reported the Official website www.gov.uz.

According to Uzfarmsanoat state joint-stock company, 40 new titles of medicines were launched this year, and 60 more will be launched in 2009.

The pharmaceutical industry of Uzbekistan currently consists of more than 100 enterprises. Uzpharmsanoat is currently implementing the program of modernization of technical and technological re-equipment of the enterprises of the pharmaceutical industry, designed until 2011.
