OREANDA-NEWS. November 27, 2008. The Ministry of Coal Industry has prepared 25 investment projects for 2009 to be considered by the Gov’t which are to cardinally change the situation in the coal branch of Ukraine.

According to these projects approved by the technical council of the Ministry the amount of attracted investments can total UAH 6.4 bn.

The mentioned sum, according to the Ministry, is intended to direct into the industry without owned assets and state budget funds.

Minister Viktor Poltavets underlined the aim of the projects would enable to put in exploitation 30 new refining shafts on the mines of the state sector of Ukraine’s economics and envisages applying of not less than 400 thousand tons of metalware.

To control and realize the investment projects the Ministry of Coal Industry suggests setting up an interdepartmental working group. Deputy Minister of Coal Industry of Ukraine Olexandr Frantsyshko is proposed to lead the group.
