OREANDA-NEWS  On 25 November was announced, that Sumitomo corporation (Japan) plans to invest USD 1.2 bn into introduction of energy-saving technologies on Ukrainian steelmaking plants.

This intention was announced at the meeting with the officials of the Ministry for Industrial Policy of Ukraine. However, the terms and specific projects are not disclosed.

We would like to remind the reader that the Ministry estimates the investments required for the mining and metallurgy complex development till late 2011 at UAH 73.4 bn.
