OREANDA-NEWS. On November 21, 2008 As part of the social project "Child Looking For Parents" Segodnya Multimedia conducted an auction of children’s photos to mark Universal Children’s Day, reported the press-centre of SCM. 

The auction was aimed at raising funds intended for orphaned children in Izyaslav orphanage, Khmelnitskaya Oblast. The auction represented the works of press photographers of the leading publications, press offices as well as information agencies of Ukraine.

In total the auction raised UAH 9.350. Within a week this amount will be transferred to an account of the Izyaslav orphanage whose representatives attended the event and received a symbolic cheque signed by the General Director, Editorial Director of ZAO Segodnya Multimedia.

The social project "Child Looking For Parents"
Segodnya staff is convinced that every child must have a family. For this very reason from October 17 every first and third Friday of each month the newspaper will be publishing materials dedicated to children living in orphanages. Within the framework of the project the newspaper’s journalists cooperate with orphanages all over Ukraine as well as with representatives of the State Department for Adoption and Protection of Children’s Rights. Every article is a story of children whose documents are legally prepared for adoption.  The preliminary project period is one year.
