OREANDA-NEWS. On November 17, 2008 the Krasnoayrsk Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (OFAS Russia) fined "Sibir Avia Service" CJSC and its General Director for abusing dominant position on the aviation kerosene market in "Krasnoyarsk" airport. Turnover fine imposed upon the company is over 26.260 million Rubles, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

In July 2008 the Krasnoayrsk OFAS Russia initiated a case against "Sibir Avia Service" CJSC for violating Article 10 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition". The company evaded changing the contract with "KrasAir" OJSC for buying-and-selling-aviation fuel. According to "KrasAir" OJSC, some contract provisions infringed the company's interests.

Article 10 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition" prohibits actions (lack of actions) by an economic entity that has dominant market position, which result or can result in preventing, restricting, or eliminating competition and (or) infringing the interests of other entities, including imposing contract conditions unfavorable to the counteragent.

Having investigated the case, the Krasnoayrsk OFAS Russia concluded that "Sibir Avia Service" CJSC had violated the antimonopoly legislation and initiated an administrative case against the company and Mr Vityugov, the company's General Director, under Article 14.31 of the Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative Violations.

Mr Vityugov is fined 15000 Rubles. The turnover fine imposed upon "Sibir Avia Service" CJSC is over 26.290 million Rubles.
