OREANDA-NEWS. November 20, 2008. The Kazakhstani enterprises of connection provided services on the amount of 338.1 billion tenge (current 120,13 / US 1), that is more 12.5% over the same period last year.

According to the Agency of Kazakhstan on statistics, including population was provided services to 136.3 billion tenge, which is 12.9% more than in January-October 2007. During the reporting period, income from services is the percentage of mobile communications was 52.7% (compared to January-October 2007, the volume of mobile services grew by 18.3%).

In total revenue of telecommunication enterprises in January-October 2008, revenues from the sale of telecommunication services for population accounted 40.3%. However, in the income from the sale of telecommunication services for population 57.9% were revenues from mobile services, 17.9% - domestic and international connections, 10.4% - local calling, and 13.8% - other forms of connection.

Kazakhstan is currently the bulk of telecommunication services and connection services provided, respectively, the JSC “Kazakhtelecom” and state company “Kazpochta”.

The Republic has five mobile operators, including three operators providing services in the standard GSM. The population of Kazakhstan exceeds 15.7 million.
