OREANDA-NEWS. November 21, 2008. Minister of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine Yurii Melnyk announced that Ukraine, from new marketing year start, has exported 10 million tons of grain crops and around 2 million tons of rape. He said that at the briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

According to him, export is carried out in all the range of crops: wheat, barley, maize.

Together with that Yurii Melnyk stressed on unfavourable situation on the world corn-exchange where price of bread-grain amounts 195-197 USD per ton which is transformed to the home price in Ukraine plus all export expenses.

At the same time the Minister expressed hopes that in the first quarter of the following year grain price would grow as it is an annual tendency.

Agrarian Policy Minister also emphasized that National Stock Company “Hlib Ukrayiny” (Bread of Ukraine) also takes part in export operations through its specialized enterprise – Hlib Export (Bread Export).
