OREANDA-NEWS. November 21, 2008. The Bank of Moscow is the Bolshoi Theatre’s partner for the 233rd theatre season.  A substantial proportion of the funds allocated to the Bolshoi Theatre are for financing new performances: of the big classical pas from the ballet Pakhita, the ballets “Russian Seasons” and Coppelia, and the opera Othello. The new season will also see a Concert devoted to the 45th anniversary of Elena Obraztsova’s performances, a Ratmanskaya Gala (concert of Bolshoi Ballet solo and other performers) and a celebration of Yuri Temirkanov’s Jubilee.

Anatoly Iksanov, General Director of the Bolshoi Theatre, has noted how pleasant it is that “no matter how difficult the times we are in, our regular partners and friends continue to support the theatre and share the joys and success of new achievements of the Bolshoi Theatre troupe”. The Bank of Moscow has been a regular partner of the Bolshoi Theatre since 2003.
