OREANDA-NEWS. November 20, 2008. Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko states that dynamics of direct foreign investments to the economy of Ukraine continues to grow and now totals above USD 8 billion. She disclosed at a meeting with leadership of the regional executive authorities on issues concerning implementation of the State Budget in 2008.

“Today we have above USD 8 billion investments to the Ukrainian economy that is much more as against the previous year.

Yulia Tymoshenko informed that there would be a special agency in the Government for accompanying scale investments to the Ukrainian economy chaired by the Prime Minister of Ukraine. At that Yulia Tymoshenko proposed the governors to establish such agencies for accompanying investments in the regions.

According to her, special lists of potential investors should be also created in the regions. Yulia Tymoshenko stressed that Government and regional leadership should become partners of the investors both domestic and foreign and create equal status for them.
