OREANDA-NEWS  On 20 November was announced, that AvtoKrAZ Holding Company (KRAZ), manufacturer of large-tonnage trucks, considers the possibility of creation of a certificated national car-testing center.

According to the plan, the car-testing center will be founded on the AvtoKrAZ base in collaboration with the Yevhen Paton Electric Welding Institute. AvtoKrAZ and the Yevhen Paton Electric Welding Institute expect to apply the achievements of science to automobile building, especially those connected with electric welding in order to improve cars quality.

The issues of electric welding activity automation, and perfection of technological process of frame and body production will be considered.

In October, the AvtoKrAZ holding company maintained its production output at the September volumes.

In 2007, the plant produced 4,206 KrAZ automobiles and automobile sets, which is 20.7% or 721 automobiles more than it produced over 2006.

AvtoKrAZ specializes in the production of 28 base models of dump trucks for opencast mines, timber trucks, tractor trucks, automobiles with enhanced maneuverability for the army, oil and gas mining equipment, and over 400 automobile modifications.
