Moldova Ranks 5th in CIS on Growth of Investments into Fixed Capital
OREANDA-NEWS. November 18, 2008. According to CIS Statistical Committee, the volume of investments into fixed capital has grown by 9% in comparison with the same period of the last year and has made 9,6 million leis.
The largest growth of the volume of investment into fixed capital was registered in Tajikistan – 77,5 % due to considerable investments made by the foreign partners into the construction of hydroelectric power stations.
The growth in Azerbaijan has made 36%, Belarus – 23,2%, Russia – 13,1%, Armenia – 12,1%, Ukraine – 8,2%, Kazakhstan – 8,2%. The volume of investments into the fixed capital in Kyrgyzstan has decreased by 2,2%.
There is no data available on Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Georgia. In January-September, 2008, the average growth of investments into fixed capital in CIS has made 13%.
