OREANDA-NEWS. November 17, 2008. ABN AMRO Bank NB Uzbekistan A.O. closed joint-stock commercial bank will be renamed into Royal Bank of Scotland O'zbekiston MB.

The resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan said that the move is connected with purchase of ABN AMRO Bank by the consortium of Royal Bank of Scotland, Fortis and Santander.

The decision was adopted at the shareholders meeting of ABN AMRO Bank NB Uzbekistan A.O., the resolution said.

The document entrusted the Central Bank of Uzbekistan assist the bank in re-registration issues.
