OREANDA-NEWS. November 17, 2008. In January-September 2008, net profit of Nakhodka Commercial Seaport OJSC totaled RUR 252.956 million against the loss of RUR 141.120 million a year ago, the company reports.

In the reported period, the company’s revenue amounted to RUR 1.512.608 billion (+83.3%), pre-tax profit – RUR 359.067 million against RUR 143.606 million of loss a year ago.

Nakhodka Commercial Seaport OJSC is the major stevedoring company ofNakhodka port (Far East). The port is owned by Euras industrial group (former EurasHolding).  It is a dispatch point for products manufactured by the Group’s companies to Asian countries. The port is linked with any point of Euro-Asian continent by Trans-Siberia Railway owned by RZhD OJSC. It plays an important role in Asia-Europe-Asia transport system. Over 40 regular lines link Nakhodka with world ports. The port is also linked with Vladivostok international airport by a highway. The port is able to handle over 1,500 large vessels per year. The port carries out transshipment of export and import cargo: rolled ferrous metal, aluminum, grain, chemicals, coal, equipment.
