OREANDA-NEWS. November 17, 2008. Oleg Demchenko, President of Irkut Corporation and Tassos Philipakos, Director General of Hellenic Aerospace Industry S.A. Greece) signed the co-operation program in the field of aviation.

The signing took place at the Hellenic Aerospace Industry production facilities in the Athens suburb in the presence of Victor Khristenko, Russia’s Minister of industry and trade, Hristos Folias, Greece’s Development Minister, and Andrey Vdovin, Russian Ambassador to Greece.  

Cooperation agreement envisages establishing technical support for Be-200ChS amphibians along with manufacturing of components in case Greece procures these aircraft.  

Irkut Corporation expressed its willingness to consider the Hellenic Aerospace Industry proposals on its participation in developing new MC-21 passenger airliner family.
