OREANDA-NEWS. November 14, 2008. In October, external assets of the Bank of Lithuania increased by LTL 754.9 million to form LTL 16.5 billion at the end of the month, and external liabilities went up by LTL 85.0 million to LTL 154.1 million, reported the press-centre of Bank of Lithuania.

Currency in circulation increased by LTL 618.9 million to LTL 9.7 billion at the end of the month. Resident deposits with the Bank of Lithuania increased by LTL 66.2 million to LTL 5.2 billion, of which, deposits of other MFIs increased by LTL 31.5 million to LTL 3.3 billion at the end of the month, while central government deposits went up by LTL 30.5 million to form LTL 1.9 billion at the end of October.

Changes in the balance sheet items of the Bank of Lithuania have been disclosed taking into account transactions, i.e. by eliminating the effect of revaluation adjustments of prices and foreign exchange rates as well as other reclassifications.
