OREANDA-NEWS. From 17 November 2008 through 18 January 2009 Ukio bankas organises a time and savings deposits campaign. During the campaign Ukio bankas offers one of the best interest rates in the market as well as two different Christmas presents to be chosen by the clients themselves, reported the press-centre of Ukio bankas.

The depositors having made a time or savings deposit of LTL 5,000 or more (or the equivalent in euros, US dollars or pounds sterling) for a one-year or longer period during this campaign are offered a subscription to the newspaper of their choice from Respublikos Leidiniu Grupe. The campaign participants will be offered to choose one from the following subscriptions: a 3-month subscription to the Respublika Saturdays issues published in Lithuanian or the Friday issues in Russian, as well as subscribe to the Saturday issues of Vakaru Ekspresas, Vakaro Zinios and Siauliu Krastas for half a year.

Ukio bankas offers another option to the depositors. The clients having placed a time deposit for up to 12 months will have the chance to receive the interest straight away without waiting the end of the specified term.

Presently, the clients having placed a time deposit for at least 6 months in the Litas in Ukio bankas can earn up to 8.5 percent in interest. Time deposits of the same maturity in euros or pounds sterling will earn 7.5 percent in interest. Time deposits placed for at least 12 months in US dollars will yield a 6 percent interest.

Even higher interest will be paid on time deposits placed by the clients using Ukio bankas internet banking system Eta bankas. Deposits placed for up to 12 months will yield by 0.1 percent higher interest and deposits with 12-month and longer maturity – 0.2 percent higher interest to the clients.
