OREANDA-NEWS. November 14, 2008. Specialists of Gomselmash have conducted successful tests of Palesse BS624 beet harvester.
The tests which have been conducted for three weeks became the final stage of the three-year work of creating the high-producing national machine to harvest sugar beet.

All in all, during the tests, the new beet harvester harvested around 350 hectares of sugar beet. There were no serious remarks regarding the work of the new beet harvester.

According to Piotr Sadov, according to the technical specifications, Palesse BS624 is highly competitive with the machinery produced by famous German company Holmer. The Belarusian beet harvester is also equipped with the on-board computer, which controls the work of the motor and all the technological bodies, and the self-steering system.

Gomselmash conducted the first tests of the new beet harvester in 2007. Moreover, an experimental sample of the harvester was tested on the fields of the Russian Federation. In 2009, the first experimental batch of beet harvesters Palesse BS624 (3-5 machines) are expected to be produced. They will operate on the Belarusian fields.
