OREANDA-NEWS. November 13, 2008. The Government of Russia is planning to consider draft regulations of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation, reports the press service of the Government.

This document specifies the powers and competences of the corporation and the order of their discharge.

Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation was set up a few months ago on the basis of the Federal Agency for Nuclear Energy in the framework of the reformation of Russia’s nuclear industry. Both the civil and the defense sectors of the industry have been placed under the management of the corporation.

The regulations specify the order of execution of government instructions and cooperation with federal agencies, regional administration and local self-governments.

The document also specifies the order for processing applications by citizens and providing them with necessary information about the activities of the nuclear sector.
