OREANDA-NEWS. November 13, 2008. The keel-laying ceremony for the second ship in the Arctic shuttle tanker series ordered by the Sovcomflot Group, for the transportation of oil from Russia’s Arctic offshore fields, took place at the Admiralty Shipyards on 10 November 2008.

The Group’s senior management agreed to name the tanker under the construction after a famous national actor - Kirill Lavrov.

Unique technological features will be used for the construction of the tanker, which is expected to be deployed serving oil and gas offshore projects in the Arctic and Far-Eastern seas.
