Russian Railways Takes Part in Global Tourism Exhibition
OREANDA-NEWS. November 11, 2008. Russian Railways (RZD) is taking part in the annual global tourist exhibition “World Travel Market – 2008” (WTM – 2008), which opened today in the ExCeL exhibition centre in London and will run through 13 November, reported the press-centre of Russian Railways.
RZD will use the exhibition to showcase a network of tourist routes and a multitude of fascinating trips both within Russia (Trans-Siberian railway, circum-Baikal railway, country estates of great Russian writers and poets), and at the international level (journeys from Russia to the Czech Republic, France, Poland, Finland, Germany etc.). All of the routes are served by luxury-class trains.
WTM – 2008 is the biggest event in the international tourism business. Each year it draws hundreds of exhibitors with a wide range of products and services: tour operators and agencies, hotels, airlines, railway and cruise companies, and many more. This year, for example, the exhibition will feature over 5,000 suppliers of services in the tourism and travel sectors.
The exhibition is designed to promote the development of national, regional and international tourism.
