OREANDA-NEWS. November 11, 2008. During 9 months of 2008 Uzbekistan attracted 1,289 bln. USD, which is 31.2% more than 9 months of 2007.

According to the State statistics committee of Uzbekistan the volume of investments attracted on the basis of State guaranty was 118,4 mln. USD, (increased by 12%) and the volume of direct investments increased by 33.5% and reached 1,171 bln. soums.

The share of foreign investments in the structure of total investments increased from 21.6% (9 months of 2007) to 21.9% in 9 months of 2008.

Uzbekistan is planning to attract 1,435 bln. USD for 79 investment projects during 2008.
