OREANDA-NEWS. November 12, 2008. "ARGO S.p.A transnational holding company with the headquarters in Italy, establishing a farm tractor assembly enterprise jointly with KAMAZ Inc. in Naberezhnye Chelny, is interested in expansion of a model line of equipment produced on the KAMAZ working area", -

– announced Mr. Valerio Morra, President of ARGO S.p.A, in the course of negotiations in the RT Government. He explained that at the end of 2009 his company’s specialists would deliver models of two new tractors with engine capacity of 300 horse powers to the republic for testing. Then the assembling of these models will be organized at KAMAZ.

Rustam Minnikhanov – RT Prime-Minister, Marat Akhmetov – RT Minister of Agriculture and Provision, Sergey Kogoghin – Director General of KAMAZ Inc. and Mario Scapin – Director General of Laverda (Italy) participated in the meeting with the Italian businessmen.

The parties noted that the joint project of ARGO S.p.A and KAMAZ Inc. – the tractor assembling opened on June 18, 2008 – is successfully advancing. Over 200 tractors with engine capacity of 215 horse powers had been assembled by the end of October.

The RT Prime-Minister announced that the republic in its turn is interested in opening new productions of farm equipment, including combines, harvesters, aggregates for fodder laying-in and fertilizer application and their placement in the Tatarstan machine building complex.

During the meeting it was decided that Marat Akhmetov would visit the forthcoming farm equipment exhibition in Bologna (Italy) and see the models of agricultural machinery produced by ARGO S.p.A.
