OREANDA-NEWS  On 12 November was announced, that the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders and the Board of Directors of Open Joint Stock Company "Alfa-Bank" (Russia) elected Johann Jonach the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Alfa-Bank Russia. On this post Mr. Jonah will preside at activity of the Board of Directors, he’ll be responsible for working out and realisation of Alfa-Bank strategy on the Russian and international financial markets. The chairmanship of Board of Directors Johann Jonach will combine with his activity on post of the CEO of the banking group consolidating five banks in Russia, Ukraine, the Netherlands, Kazakhstan and Belarus. The decision on appointment of Johann Jonach on a post of the Chairman of the Board of Directors urged to strengthen in the lead positions of Alfa-Bank on the Russian retail and corporate financial markets and to intensify activity of all business directions, and also to ensure process of closer interaction of all banks inside Alfa Banking group.

Former Chairman of The Board of Directors of Alfa-Bank Russia, Peter Shmida will continue the activity as a member of the Board of Directors and will participate in working out of the general development strategy of Alfa-Bank Russia, on the western capital markets as well.
