OREANDA-NEWS. November 11, 2008. Rostekhnadzor (Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Nuclear Supervision) has completed target inspection of Taymyr nuclear icebreaker and is satisfied with its nuclear and radiation safety, reports the press service of the service.

The inspectors have confirmed the compliance of Taymyr with the federal nuclear and radiation safety rules as well as the high efficiency and preparedness of the personnel operating the vessel.

In Russia nuclear icebreakers are operated by Atomflot FSUE, which is part of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation.
