Ukrainian Government to Tackle Building Problems
OREANDA-NEWS. November 10, 2008. Agreements between builders and producers of construction materials and other sector agreements will allow reducing the price per square metre of dwelling. The Minister of Regional Development and Building of Ukraine Vasyl Kuibida informed at the meeting on building problems chaired by the Prime Minister of Ukraine.
“The management subjects should sign an agreement between construction organizations, Construction Organizations Association and Association of producers of constructional materials and by means of this agreement to reduce the price of constructional materials and, accordingly, reduce the price per square metre of dwelling. Such sector agreements with the Banks Association as well could enable to regulate some problems which the field is facing today,” Vasyl Kuibida said.
According to the Minister, institutions of local governing have to revise their decisions on allotting building lands and give unused areas to those who are able to organize building.
“The institutions of local governing shall revise all facts of building lands allotment and those areas which have not been used for more than 2-3 years, such decisions are to be revised and, probably, put up for market for those who able to build today,” the Minister stressed. According to him, the institutions of local governing have also to simplify their inner licensing mechanisms at the most and render assistance to participants of the construction market form lands allotment to placing a subject in operation.
