OREANDA-NEWS. November 10, 2008. Mr. Alexey Prokhorov has been appointed President of the Non-Governmental Pension Fund "Allianz", whose formation was announced by ROSNO Group in May of the running year, reported the press-centre of ROSNO.

Mr. Alexey Prokhorov was born in 1976 in Moscow. He graduated from the Financial Academy by the RF Government, majoring in Finance and Credit.

In 1999 to 2002, he held the position of the deputy CEO for financial and economic issues in the insurance company Progress-Garant, which is part of Allianz Group in Russia today. In 2002 to 2005 he worked as first deputy CEO of the insurance company "Russia". In 2005 to 2008 he worked as a managing director in the investment group AG Capital. His responsibilities there included the development of the Group in the non-governmental pension market and monitoring of the state of strategic liabilities.

In 2004 to 2008 he was member of the Advisory Board of the fund NPF "Rus". Being one of its founders, he has developed and implemented the model of a large federal-scale market fund, integrated this fund into the insurance industry, structured it operations, created and introduced new products and sales techniques, and developed the regional infrastructure.

Under the leadership of Mr. Alexey Prokhorov, the development priority for NPF Allianz will be provision of services to the general public in the obligatory medical insurance segment, which constitutes the most rapidly growing segment of the pension market. At the current stage, it is planned to pay much attention to the explanatory work among the general public with regard to the coming into force of the Law "On additional contributions for the accumulative portion of the labour pension and state support for formation of pension savings".
 
The specifically created workgroup is presently working out the development strategy for the Fund. In the near future, a management team will be formed.
