OREANDA-NEWS. November 10, 2008. ROSNO’s North-Western Directorate has taken part in the Interregional Practical Conference "Self-Regulation in the Construction Sector. Practical Application of the SRO Law". One of the speakers was Mr. Roman Kapshitar, the project manager at ROSNO’s Corporate Sales Centre, making a report "Innovative Approaches in Construction Risks Management", reported the press-centre of ROSNO.

The conference was organized by the Russian Construction Union, assisted by the Self-Regulating Association of the St. Petersburg Construction Sector, North-Western Institute of Professional Development, and the Expert Council for Evaluation of Reliability of Construction Sector Companies. Among the speakers were such experts as: Mr. Viktor Zabelin, President of the Russian Builders Union, Mr. Mikhail Viktorov, general director of the Russian Builders Union, and Alexei Belousov, general director of the Self-Regulating Association of the St. Petersburg Construction Sector.

The event was attended by the leading experts of ROSNO’s North-Western Directorate: Yuri Volkov, the deputy director for corporate sales; Marina Belousova, the deputy head of the Property and Liability Insurance Department, etc.

In his speech, Roman Kapshitar noted that now is the time to perceive insurers as reliable business partners and consultants. To develop high-quality, full-fledged insurance products, he urged representatives of the SROs and insurance companies to start timely and equitable cooperation in order to develop regulations, statutes and terms of insurance within the SRO framework.

This will enable full use of the insurance arrangements and reliable protection of all parties participating in the project — customer, contractor, and investor — and protect third parties in case of any damage inflicted thereto.
