S7 Airlines, Russia’s largest air carrier by number of transported passengers on domestic routes, made it possible to pay for airline tickets booked on the S7 Airlines website www.S7.ru through the Yandex.Money payment system, reported the press-centre of S7 Airlines.

Tickets are booked on the website in the usual way. Then the passenger chooses a convenient payment method—through the Yandex.Money system or by bank card. After the online payment is completed in the Yandex.Money system, the passenger immediately receives a confirmation of purchase on the S7 Airlines website.

The introduction of the new payment option is the latest stage of a program to expand electronic services at S7 Airlines. In June 2008 the airline implemented the latest Internet Booking Engine technology on its website.

“The new service will be popular among passengers who are already registered in the Yandex system and know how to make payments through the system. In addition, this alternative payment method will be convenient for those who for whatever reason do not want to use a bank card on the Internet,” says S7 Airlines’ Commercial Director Vadim Besperstov.

“The service is popular among our users,” says Yandex.Money’s Commercial Director Yelena Lozovenko. “And we are sure that they will appreciate being able to purchase airline tickets from such a popular carrier as S7 Airlines.”
