OREANDA-NEWS. November 07, 2008. In the Chamber Hall of the City Palace of Culture there took place a presentation of social projects which had received JSCB “Gazprombank” grants in 2008, reported the press-centre of Gazprombank.

The presentation was attended by representatives of state executive authorities, non-government organizations, leading mass media, the PMR President Education, Science and Culture Consultant Elena Bomeshko and PMR Deputy Minister for Education Vyacheslav Popeskul.

“Gazpombank” grant programme was set up in 2006 in the frameworks of the social project “Public initiative”. The project is aimed to encourage the development of the civil society institutions in PMR. Every year non-governmental organizations of the republic have an opportunity to receive support in the implementation of the projects seeking to solve different social problems.

The themes of grant programme vary from year to year: in 2006 preference was given to the projects aimed at the development of civil cooperation, in 2007 “Gazprombank” found it important to encourage public and business initiative of the PMR citizens; this year the grant theme has been “Humanitarian innovations”.

The council of experts considered the projects aimed at introduction of the new activity forms in the sphere of education, culture and social development on a priority basis.

This year “Gazprombank” has supported the following organizations:

Youth social organization “Child” (project “Youth view”)

Charity trustee fund “Parents and School” (project “Pridnestrovie – address of childhood”).

Pridnestrovian historical society (project – International theoretical and practical conference “Pridnestrovian plain – history and present”).

Social organization “Children’s sport and creativity league” (project “Future sport leaders”).
