OREANDA-NEWS  On 10 November was announced, that Tetra Pak provided the latest technological solutions to the new School Food Plant to be inaugurated in Medyn of Kaluga region. The equipment installed on site will allow to process up to 110 tones of milk daily to produce milk, yogurt, cottage cheese, whey drinks and other products. The new facility will provide Moscow school kids with a wide range of food products. The plant is part of MosMedynagroprom agro industrial holding. It has been commissioned and financed by the Moscow city government. The construction works have been carried out by the Elevar company.

Tetra Pak has equipped the new enterprise with the latest company’s technological and packaging equipment and provided the full automation of all production processes on the base of the newest Tetra PlantMaster 6.0 platform. According to Igor Akimov, President of Tetra Pak Russia, the new plant has become the first in Russia to install the platform. Tetra PlantMaster 6.0. allows decreasing production costs, energy consumption, reducing unplanned stoppages, and increasing production efficiency. School Food plant will become the first in Russia to use the process of micro filtration on Tetra Pak module.

Tetra Pak has supplied equipment to produce dairy products in one-liter TBA 1000 ml Slim and TBA 200 ml Slim portion packages.

The plant will start deliveries of milk in TBA 200 ml to several elementary schools as part of School Milk program. “Tetra Pak has provided its latest technological solutions to ensure that school students get the best quality milk in safe aseptic carton packages that protect product’s nutrition value”, says Igor Akimov.

Facility management envisages the most thorough quality control throughout the chain, starting from raw materials’ intake to finished goods. “Tetra Pak solutions ensure the high level of hygiene and safety which is essential in production of food for children”, says Alexander Gazhev, Director of School Food Plant.

High environmental standards distinguish the new production facility. The plant management plans to join Tetra Pak initiative in developing the system of post-consumer carton packages waste collection and recycling in Russia.
