OREANDA-NEWS  On 10 November was announced, that the headquarters of the International University in Moscow hosted the award ceremony of the IXth Pan-Russian Competition of Student PR projects ‘Crystal Orange’. The Competition was established in 1998 on the initiative of the Russian Public Relations Academy (RASO) and the International Journalism faculty of Moscow State Institute of International Relations of the RF Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This year, Crystal Orange gathered students from 40 regions of Russia and the CIS.

Ingosstrakh’s trophy went to the winner in the PR in Commerce nomination, a student of St. Petersburg State University Elena Yakimova.

Ingosstrakh has always been supportive of youth, therefore, as part of its educational projects the company has become partner of the Pan-Russian Student Competition ‘Crystal Orange’. The company has set up a competition of term and graduation papers on insurance among the students of Russian universities in order to contribute to the development of insurance education standards, to create the insurance culture in the Russian society, designate high potentials and to recruit for Ingosstrakh’s branches and mass insurance sections in the regions of Russia. Ingosstrakh’s competition has been held since 1997. In 2000 it gained federal-level recognition. From 1997 till 2006 the competition awarded 35 grants and 56 monetary prizes in the amount of more than USD 72k.

The Pan-Russian Student Competition ‘Crystal Orange’ has been held for 9 consecutive years. Today, it is believed to be one of the best student competitions in the country. Every year it gathers several thousand students from 40 regions of Russia. The total number of its participants from inception is around 10000 students.

The competition covers all areas of future professional occupation of the students participating in it and the whole specter of relevant issues through a wide range of nominations, including public relations in social sphere, public relations in governmental and power authorities, public relations in business; public relations in art, culture and sports; public relations and Russia’s global image; public relations and environment; political and election technologies; analysis in PR.
