Basic Element to Сomplete Acquisition of PSK TransStroy
OREANDA-NEWS On 10 November was announced, that Basic Element will in a few days complete its acquisition of PSK TransStroy. Earlier this week, the Federal Anti-Monopoly Service issued an approval to increase Basic Element's stake in the construction company to 100%.
Basic Element Company became a 50% shareholder of PSK TransStroy in fall of last year to implement major projects in transportation infrastructure construction including roads, bridges and tunnels. Companies have jointly participated in several tenders for private-public partnership (PPP) projects, including the Western High-Speed Diameter and Pulkovo airport reconstruction.
"Modern transportation infrastructure is becoming more and more important for the country's economy. We expect TransStroy to continue its dynamic growth within the Construction Sector of our company based on its existing and future projects, including PPP projects", says Gulzhan Moldazhanova, Basic Element CEO.
"Over the decades, TransStroy's specialists have gained unique experience. The Company has constructed most of modern highways and railways in Russia. I'm confident that this experience combined with the use of modern technologies will enable us to implement a variety of large-scale projects which crucial for Russia" - says Yury Reylyan, TransStroy CEO.
Over the last year, TransStroy completed several major projects in transportation infrastructure, including new runways in Pulkovo, Sochi and Gelendzhik airports, interchange between Volokolamsky and Leningradsky highways in Moscow, the first stage of S-2 protective structure in St.-Petersburg and a berth of the new "Morskoy Fasad" passenger port. In late November, the 2nd stage of M-27 Dzghubga-Sochi highway bypassing Sochi will be launched. The Company has initiated several other large projects, including access roads to Elgin coal deposit in Yakutia, as well as a 400 km - long stretch of Berkakit-Tommot-Yakutsk railway (Tommot-Yakutsk section) valued at RUR 49,4bln.
