Ukraine Allocates UAH 20 mln for Protection of Deaf and Dull
OREANDA-NEWS. November 07, 2008. An order of the Government “On measures of social protection of deaf and dull invalids”, the draft of which was represented by the Minister of Labour and Social Policy of Ukraine Liudmyla Denysova, has been approved at a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, reported the Official website www.kmu.gov.ua.
This document affords to allot Ukrainian Deaf Association (UTOH) and Ukrainian Blind Association (UTOS) 20 million hryvnyas. The funds are destined for overhaul of dormitories and sanatoriums for deaf and blind invalids, for equipment and transport for sanatoriums, rest homes and teaching and rehabilitation centres.
The source of financing will be the Fund of Social Protection of Invalids.
“Support of these associations today will afford to decrease the fallout of the financial crisis on activity of UTOH and UTOS, which will assist to protect deaf and blind invalids,” Liudmyla Denysova stressed.
