OREANDA-NEWS. On November 06, 2008 Minister of Economics of Ukraine Bohdan Danylyshyn stressed that the mentioned Concept had been elaborated by the Ministry of Economics targeting solving an issue of lack in Ukraine a relative mechanism for processing huge information files in various spheres of social and economic activity.

“In the leading world countries such a problem is being solved just with the help of grid technologies,” the head of economic department stressed.

According to Bohdan Danylyshyn realization of the developed on the basis of the Concept of the National Target Scientific and Technical Program of Introducing and Applying of Grid Technologies for 2009-2013 will enable to:

- build a national grid infrastructure;

- ensure a wide introducing of grid technologies in all the areas of social and economic activity, adapted to applying them on native multiprocessor computer systems;

- create a system of preparing of specialists for work with grid technologies;

- join into a single system computer resources, various by technical realization and types of construction, with an aim to create and guarantee a combined computer resource for a user.

“Creating of the mentioned systems will radically improve an effectiveness of applying of combined computer resources of the state, provide with principally advanced opportunities for solving of complex tasks and problems of science, health protection, education, economics,” Bohdan Danylyshyn is convinced.

Besides, in Economics Minister’s of Ukraine opinion, adopting of an act will create legal grounds necessary for the development of grid technologies, will define main principles and ways of introducing of grid infrastructure in Ukraine.

Grid or grid infrastructure is a distributed hardware-software computer network with principally new organization of calculations and management of task and data flows.

Such computer infrastructure is meant for joining computational powers of diverse organizations. On the basis of grid technologies an integration of regional and even national computational computer infrastructures is being implemented in order to create united international resources to solve huge scientific-technical tasks. Grid envisages integrating of a huge amount of geographically distant computer resources. It is needless to know for a user where the resources being used are located (to the analogy of power supply network).
