OREANDA-NEWS. November 05, 2008. Minister of Economics of Ukraine Bohdan Danylyshyn announced that a Technical Order of mobile electrical equipment was approved at the Govt’s sitting.

A draft resolution “On approving the Technical Order of mobile electrical equipment” was prepared to implement item 10 of Action Plan on implementation in 2007 the National Program of adaptation of Ukraine’s legislation to the legislation of the European Union approved by an order of the Government of 07.03.2007 №90-р.

“Adopting of the draft resolution aims at confirming of safety requirements in terms of electrical mobile equipment used for transportation of hazardous substances by automobile roads and railway roads,” Bohdan Danylyshyn stressed.

The draft act determines a list of mobile equipment which the Technical Order covers and main safety requirements to it which are mandatory to follow by producers and providers of such equipment, procedures of evaluation and revaluation of their compliance, a procedure of periodic review, rules of marking and introduction of the equipment as well as defines classification of dangerous substances which are transported by means of the mentioned equipment.

As the Economics Minister put it, adopting of the draft resolution will ensure further harmonization of the national legislation with the European one, in particular, in terms of electrical mobile equipment, will facilitate to raising a level of protecting of environment and consumers and will create conditions for producing by the national manufacturers competitive production of the European safety and quality.
