IBA Calls Population for Rational Usage of Plastic Cards
OREANDA-NEWS. November 06, 2008. The International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA) expressed discontent towards usage of plastic cards by population, reported the press-centre of IBA.
IBA Chairman Jahangir Hajiyev said Azerbaijan banking system needs ten years for population to get used to plastic cards as a payment system.
“Now the major problem is while debiting a card its owner tries to cash money through ATM. I would like to call population for scaled use of plastic cards. For instance, you can pay for communal or mobile phone services by using IBA cards,” J.Hajiyev said.
He also noted that country’s trade points should help banking to attract population for using plastic cards under mutually beneficiary conditions,” J.Hjaiyev said.
Today the IBA is a country’s leaders for plastic cards.
