OREANDA-NEWS. November 01, 2008. S7 Airlines (the OAO Sibir Airlines brand) has been named the most punctual airline at Moscow Domodedovo International Airport for September 2008, reported the press-centre of S7 Airlines.

The main criterion for assessing punctuality was flight regularity.

Regularity is expressed as the percentage of on-time completed flights from Domodedovo Airport to the total number of completed flights. Regularity is calculated taking into account weather conditions, i.e., flights delayed due to bad weather are not counted as delayed in the determination of regularity.

S7 airplanes departed and arrived precisely according to schedule 75.4% of the time in September. S7 has firmly held its leadership position with regard to punctuality since the start of 2008.

“On-time departure is one of the important indicators of airline service quality. We were able to achieve high regularity thanks to the orderly and coordinated work of all the crews of the airline and the airport. Passengers highly value punctuality and this is often why they choose S7,” said ZAO S7 Group’s Deputy CEO Anton Yeremin.

S7 regularly conducts training of the flight crew and ground service in practical skills as well as how to handle equipment and manage employees. The training is conducted in accordance with international requirements and helps to improve overall efficiency.
