Bank of Moscow Launched Advertising Campaign
OREANDA-NEWS. November 1, 2008. “Down with cashdesk queues! Cashfree travel credit for the masses!” is the slogan for the Bank of Moscow/Visa payment system campaign that is to run from 1 through 30 November 2008. Within the scope of the campaign, the Bank of Moscow is proposing to open a Visa Electron credit card with a cashfree travel payment function (BOP) for use on the Moscow Metro for existing and potential customers.
“With a Bank of Moscow BOP card, there will be no need to stand in queues to buy Metro tickets – the number of trips on the card is not limited”, noted Alla Tsytovich, Managing Director of the Retail Business Unit of the Bank of Moscow. “Use of the card will also save money, providing an opportunity to pay for travel at reduced rates offered by the Bank of Moscow. A BOP card is also a credit card that can be used in shops, at petrol filling stations, in restaurants and cafes and for withdrawing cash from ATMs throughout the world.”
According to Alla Tsytovich, the service of providing clients with cashfree travel payment credit cards is to be developed even further. In the future, the Bank plans to develop a line of credit cards with various transport applications.
To obtain a BOP card, call: (495) 925-80-00 or submit an application online to any Bank of Moscow branch or mini-branch at a Metro station. The annual service charge on the card will be 125 roubles.
The project to issue BOP debit cards was launched in June 2006. The Bank of Moscow was the first Russian bank to introduce cards with a transport application. In November 2006, the first BOP credit card appeared. Since the programme was launched, the Bank of Moscow has issued over 100 thousand BOP cards.
