OREANDA-NEWS. November 1, 2008. Azerfon LLC (trademark Nar Mobile) has reported of putting into operation of 21 new base stations countrywide.

"The new stations installed in September started to operate on the territory of Absheron peninsular (2), Baku (11), Devechi (3), Gedebey (1), Khachmaz (2), Shemakhi (1) and Salyan (1) regions,” it informed.

At the present the operator provides 80 percent of country’s territory with qualitative and affordable mobile communication services.

Azerfon was licensed #001512 by the Ministry of Communications & Information Technologies of Azerbaijan in December 2005 to provide mobile services throughout the country’s territory. Azerfon launched its commercial activities on 21 March 2007 under brand name Nar Mobile. At the present more than 650,000 subscribers use the network of Nar Mobile.
